The place for a way of life blessed with happinessToyono Town, located in the northern part of Osaka Prefec-ture, is an area comprising both a rural landscape in its origi-nal state and a developed residential zone adjacent to each other. This is also the birthplace of the blessed Takayama Ukon, who is famous as a Japanese Christian warlord. There-fore, Toyono Town is blessed with happiness that meets any way of life owing to its rich natural environment and its histori-cal and cultural treasures handed down from predecessors. 豊能町は、〝いなか〞の顔と〝まち〞の顔を併せ持った町なんです。「いなかで暮らしたい」「まちで暮らしたい」。そんな選択ができるこのまちは、暮らしの拠点を置くには、もってこいの場所なんです。自然や立地に恵まれた環境のほかに、歴史も特徴的。日本において重要な歴史もこの地で育まれました。かつてこの地はキリスト教の信仰が行われ、キリシタン大名として名高い福者・高山右近の生誕地です。また、「豊能みかげ石」がとれる「石の町」としての顔も持ち、史跡や石仏、石塔などが各地に残されています。豊かな自然に恵まれ、歴史文化を受け継ぎながら、さまざまな「暮らし」にも合う福に包まれた場所、それが豊能町です。しあわせこのページには、・「未来の豊能町」をテーマに子どもたちが描いた絵・昔ながらの原風景が描かれた水彩画（作：中條健史）を掲載しています。3
